Ellis breaks hand
New York Jets defensive end Shaun Ellis suffered a broken left hand in his team’s win over the San Diego Chargers.
Ellis said he was injured on the first play of the game when his hand just gave out while being blocked by a lineman.
He said he then just tried to finish out the series and when he got to the sidelines, showed the trainers the injury.
The hand was placed in a cast that made his arm a club, and he eventually returned to the game.
Ellis said he will definitely play against the Colts, but will have surgery after the game regardless of the outcome.
